1998'ish (2017) Kona Honzo Ti

So.... after 3 years of searching, I have managed to get the Unicorn ! a Size Large, 2017 Honzo Ti....all the way from New Zealand to the UK !

The original owner de-stickered it from the original decals and so it was bare..... I wanted to re-instate these kinda the same...but different ! so thanks to Gil @ Retrodecals (who did an amazing job) we aimed for the 1998 edition decal set...based off that years Hei Hei (with subtle re-drawing of a "Z" as there wasnt a bike in the range that had one ! )

So here it is after last nights Decalfest....frame "re-finished with Scotchbrite Purple prior to stickering.

Final build will include (once i've stripped the parts of my Mk1 Stanton Switchback - 853) :

Hope Headset (Orange)
Hope Stem and Cap (Orange)
Hope Bottom Bracket (Orange....can you see the pattern here !)
Renthal Bars
Hope Tech 3 / X2 brakeset (black with gold hoses)
XT 10 Speed groupset
Rockshox Yari RC (150mm - Overforking !)
Hope Fortus 30 wheelset (Orange Pro4 Hubs)
Vittoria Mazza TNT Graphene tyres
Saint 10 speed shifter
PNW Loam Dropper and Lever
Charge Spoon Saddle

I've never owned Ti before....so hope it rides as good as it looks !

Very nice, like it. Build sounds solid too, although those Hope wheels may be a little weighty.

I have seen alot of Honzo ST builds with a -2 deg. Works components headset.... i'm overforking to 150mm..so should slacken it out anyway.

I've also got a 2016 Proces 134, with a 150mm Yari on that, so the geo should be similar....

Quality. Just hope those hoses don't overdo it. Frame should be the star! The 10 speed kit is ace, love that. Much better than the 12 speed these days
