1998 Sintesi Bazooka Budget Prodject "Leftovers 1.0"

Ingemansson

Retro Newbie
Hi,

I'm building on a 98' Bazooka frame, and I would be very happy if anyone could help me with some specs:

- Wich kind of Bottom Bracket is suitable/most common for the frame?
- Cranks, what type do I look for? I would like to run 1x9 spd.
- Does anyone know the seatpost diameter in millimeters?

Thanks everybody! // Oscar, Sweden

Re:

1. Measure it, it depends what cranks you want
2. depends how much money you want to spend, it'll be a standard 68/73mm BB most likely, almost any cranks will fit
3. Measure it (vernier calipers)

Re:

I just finished rebuilding my 98 Bazooka, it's great to be out on it again.
I fitted a Deore chainset with the BB that was included. I guess you could fit just about anything modern on it.
Seatpost diameter is 29.4, almost impossible to get. Although I was able to get a shim, took it down to 27.2, giving a lot of seatpost options.
Also, if it's any help, I used a Marin disc brake adaptor, fitted straight on giving IS mounting options.

Re:

hiya mate, noticed you are building an epic retro rig, I rode mine from new until last year when I eventually retired it to the garage wall...criminal I know lol

If you need any help with anything let me know as I must have rebuilt and refurbished mine about a 100 times lol

here is my rig...
