For sale is my mostly original 1998 Kona Kilauea 19" in almost mint condition.
Reynolds 631 frame, Marzocchi Bomber Z3 Light forks, Shimano Deore LX and XT drivetrain, Avid Single Digit 20 cantilevers and Avid Speed Dial 1.9L levers, Mavic 217 rims, Hope front hub, XT rear.
It has been in the garage gathering dust and has almost original spec. (http://www.klassickona.com/oldgold/98bikes/kilauea.html), I have owned the bike since new and I have all of the supporting paperwork, including the original bike shop hanger card!
I believe that the only changes are the wheels and saddle. They have been replaced by:
Front: Hope hub with Mavic 217 rim
Rear: Shimano XT (Parallax) hub with Mavic 217 rim
Saddle: Selle Italia Flite
Pedals: Shimano SPD
I even have the original Kona Break and Enter tyres that are practically unused that can be included. Vistalites and Specialized Speedzone excluded.
I can count the number of times the bike has been off-road and got properly dirty on one hand. The bike has done maybe 1500 miles in total. There are a few very light marks on the frame and some cable rub.
Incidentally, I'm 6'2" and the saddle is adjusted to me for road riding.
