1998 Cannondale M500 with a new P-bone

Nothing special and very pedestrian, but my wife's '98 M500 was due for some rework. The old Manitou FS suspension fork I put on when new had had better days and she never liked the 90's mountain bike stance of handlebars lower than the seat.

She'll occasionally ride the easier trails now that the kids are riding with me, but mostly it has dog walking duty... hence the kickstand and walkie-dog clamp on the seatpost.

Anyway, I added the following

Bike:
1998 16" Cannondale M500 in Split Pea with Yellow lettering

Stock except for:

Fork:
1997 P-bone fork from an M800, black with yellow decal (near NOS, preioius owner pulled it right away BITD to install a suspension fork)
Seat: ca 1998 Terry woman's
Seatpost: New one piece Kalloy 27.2x350 with forged head
Stem: New Kalloy 1-1/8 - 40 Deg - 31.8 - 120mm
Handlebar:[/b] ControlTech riser I just pulled from my 29'er to install flat bars
Cassette:[/b] M737 11-30

Weight:
~25 lbs

The new forks work well, looks like it would be too front-high with FS. Good kit & nice frame colour too.

Thanks. I think you can never go wrong with a black fork and having the yellow decals on the frame and fork tie things together nicely.
