1998 BeOne DH Team (Bas De Bever)

From 1 to 2 to now 3 BeOnes, I am still going to be making 1 bike up as perfect to spec as it can be as most of the parts belonged to and were raced by Bas De Bever but 1 of the frames if not both spares will be sold to fellow collectors.

Very nice. I always liked the B1s from that era.

There's a B1 Woodbumble that's been up for sale for over a year for not a lot of money. I'm put off as its in a sorry state and missing the rear axle and shock.

just wanted to contribute by providing some scans from an old bike mags (unknown sources)

and secondly, to me this frame is not a design from Batavus or BeOne, but still based on design by Vario bikes from Grenoble, Frane, introduced already 1995.

Your frame still looks like the model "Techno II", which had a different, not adjustable dome for the seat post and saddle.

There is a great build thread of a "No limit" in the <97 section, unfortunately still not finally completed

The Vario bikes had been sold from other brands.
Also KTM had a Vario "No Limit" Bike for some point of time in their portfolio.

I tried to buy one of them when I replaced the several broken DH9s I had with the M1. It was impossible. As far as I could work out they never existed as production bikes. A shame as in theory they were pretty on the money for what I was after. Nice original Atomic Industries Aircorp pedals on there too.
