1997 Marin Rift Zone - Virtually As New

1997 black Marin Rift Zone with a couple of hundred miles on it, if that.
I have owned it from new, but started working overseas just after I got the bike, so it has sat under a cover in the garage ever since.
It has no dings or scrapes, etc. that I can see, pretty much as new.
I think it is a 15.5” frame and is totally original.

It has all the original documentation for all the components, forks, gears, etc., bill of sale and 1997 colour Marin brochure. Original cost was just over £1000 I think.

I would like £325 but would consider sensible offers.

That's a proper little time capsule! I don't expect it'll hang around for long. I wish I could justify having it because I'd buy it for myself!

I seem to remember the frame has some sort of internal tracker device, I may be able to find the details when I get back to the UK.

Marins around this time were firred with datatags, which needed registration.
Not sure if the database still exsists though.

Just found this thread whilst doing some research.

Yes the DataTag DB is still up and running. You can call them (number on their website) and they can send you a form to renew or register.
