Not when its bleedin' obvious it is the same frame

Knowing and proving are completely different as far as the law is concerned, not saying its impossible, just very hard.

:?: having been down this road before i was just stating how difficult it can be proving this is the same frame, a lot depends on what the seller says, but thanks for your input.

Re:

Me too, recovered a few stolen bikes, once without even a picture or serial number to prove it.

When it is 100% obvious it is the same frame, evidence of ownership, sale, loss and now the same frame is for sale, it really would be open and shut. You must have had some bad luck in the past. No one would be reunited with stolen goods if otherwise.

I returned a £200+ jacket to a company that Hermes lost. It was insured & they paid out.

EDIT - JEEZ - response above based on first post. Just read rest. This is insane. I'm sure coppers would get involved. I reported a pirated software cd sold me on ebay that was supposed to be new & genuine when ebay did nowt. Petty but they got the guy banged to rights, access to his bank accounts etc. Few years back but the cop in charge was full of enthusiasm for the task.

Thats all conjecture at this point, but i really don't want to argue about it, i really hope he can sort this as im sure we all do.

And yes, as the lyrics go, if i didn't have bad luck, i would have no luck at all! :)

Hi everyone, thanks for jumping on this for me, iv'e been out all day and away from my phone.

I received two messages from people, one Fluffychicken, whilst out.

It IS my frame 100%. I have called South Yorkshire Police, given them all the details and I have a crim number. They have the Ebay page, this forum post detail, my personal pictures, the transactions between me and the buyer and a whole lot more.

It's now in the hands of the Police so I'd appreciate it if no one from the group messaged him about it. He'll get pinched for theft or handling stolen goods.

Fingers crossed i'll get it back, I can then pass it onto the original buyer and put a smile on his face :)

By the looks of his other sales he's been thieving from My Hermes (Or buying from an employee of theirs) for some time, look how many drone's he's selling, most of his sales are for brand new stuff and it's a proper mish mash of items.

And yes, some of you are correct, it still has the packing tape I put on it, including the polystyrene down the seat tube. I put a block of it on top of the seat tube to protect it in the box, it's obvious snapped off and got stuck down there.

Keep an eye on it, I'll update you all as and when I can.

yes, fingers crossed you get a result.

Hermes lost item cases should drop dramatically after this ring is smashed
