-1996/1997 Paul v levers..these were impossible to find...took 3 years!
-new darker stanchions for the forks...now matches the fox perfectly.
-correct crank bolt cover...(little details matter!)

I'd be to scared to ride a Bow Ti for the fear of breaking it but i can't help drooling when i see these bikes and yours is just sublime ..

but why not a set of Avid V levers to match the Avid brakes?

I always thought the avid levers had a post 1997 look to them.. don't know why...

the Paul's are perfect for me...the gold highlights work with the ibis headbadge and they go with the Paul crown.

Congrats on finishing the bike, it looks amazing.
I'm not a big fan of the looks of these frames, but the parts choice make it pretty special.
Why did you start a new topic?

hey thanks. new topic deleted. I just updated the first page. one thing I wanted to add:

one of the last issues I was having is the ti spacer I got didn't match the stem.. It drove me nuts. I finally figured out how to match it. I aged the spacer by putting it in near boiling water full of oxiclean for about 2hrs.. and then soaked it in really dirty motor oil for an hour... basically I wanted to give it 20 years of again in one day!

I would say it worked!
