Hello people, just putting this up here to see if anyone wants to give it a home. Hand on heart - this was a bike I bought to break for spares. I previously offered the frame only for sale but no takers, I’ve put it together using parts I’ve accumulated (as you do), and I’m actually surprised with how good it turned out.
19” Grisley frame, stove enamelled in metallic silver by Argos cycles, Rock Shox Psylo SL forks, Marzocchi rear shock, parallax hubs s/s spokes and Mavic 238 rims, FSA ‘pig’ headset, Scott stem, club roost bars/grips, XT brifters, XT front mech, Deore rear mech, 21 speed, new chain and cables. UN54 bottom bracket and white industries crankset, Planet X pedals, bassano saddle.
Think that’s everything, rides smooth as butter and is comfy and solid. No play in linkage, few scuffs etc but looks well.
It is also on eBay/Gumtree too but it’d be cool if it stayed in the retrobike community, I’m asking £150 to cover the parts I’ve fitted. Collection from Bedfordshire, I travel around the area for work so poss. meet up - pm to discuss.
