1997 Bomber Z3 lubrication advice

I have recently got some NOS elastomers (admittedly to fit a Rock Shox fork) to replace those that came out of the only (partially) elastomer sprung Bomber fork from Marzocchi. The grey one:

I looked at all kinds of manuals many times, to figure out a way to fit the thinner, but longer elastomer sections into my Z3, yet, no documentation that I was able to find told me what to lubricate the fork with. It does have a damping cartridge, so I would say oil, but no oil is ever mentioned in the service manual nor could I find any when I first dismantled the fork.

Whan I found instead was this:

..from what I cannot tell if there was oil absorbed by the remains of the elastomers, or if it was onyl greased at certain areas.

Any ideas?

The manual says to lubricate the seals with silicone grease and to spray the other moving parts with silicone fat spray.
I'm not really familiar with this particular fork, and unlike most of the other Z series Marzocchi forks it appears not to use the very reliable open bath oil damping. This is despite the fact it has oil seals below the dust wipers.

Elastomers do have natural damping qualities, and the damping cartridge may be an air damping circuit.
Not sure, the cartridge could have contained oil perhaps...
If you cycle/pump the cartridge does it provide any resistance even when empty?
In which case it's probably air damped like RST Mozo forks.
