Hi,

Anyone interested in a swap?.

I've got this BMW super tech MTB, that I'm unlikely to use. It's got some issues....

The shocks need refurb/replacement, the damper controls no longer make any difference to how bouncy they are.

There are quite a few scratches and little areas of peeling coating.

There's a small dent on the tube behind the front mech.

.....on the plus side, it's actually in quite good original condition for it's age, everything's in working order and you don't see many of them around, also it's dripping in 8 speed XTR.

What I would like and would use is a nice quality steel road bike.

Something along the lines of a Roberts or similar, it'll need to be able to take mudguards and have double bottle cage braze ons.

Alternatively if you've got a nice American steel frameset along the lines of a 90s Slim Chance/Brodie Rodie/Ibis Spanky.

It'll need to be 56 x 56 or very close.

Ideally you're fairly local to East Anglia to make any meet up for swapping possible.

I can provide more detailed photos and description if there's any interest?.

Cheers Matt

Wow.....7 days later and I'm languishing on Page 4, it's a fast moving world here on the MTB sales thread!.

Anyway, a little bump just in case anyone missed it the first time round.

Cheers Matt

It's quite a cool thing, but very niche.

You might be better off posting on BMW forums as there will be a fanboy/girl somewhere with deep pockets that might just have to have this in their collection. They won't treasure it as a source of nice XTR kit, but it could compliment a car cave, and you may get good money, which is much easier to then convert into the skinny wheeled bike of your choice.

I said the same to someone on here a while back who had a Mercedes AMP.

Just a thought.
