cant believe im doing this but here goes.....
I have had these for 2 years, when i recieved them they went straight to my LBS and had new oil / new seals / and more importantly new bushings. the stantions were confirmed to be minty fresh inside the forks, they have no marks on the upper parts. since this service they have had mild use and are working perfectly and in NO way need a service - these are sweet !!
there are usage marks, some pitting on the lower left leg, but all the stickers and 98% paint in great condition. these really do sweeten up any ride !

'98 - had a pair of '97's, those are the 98 bam design. they may have been manufactured in late 97?

On Marzocchis, the model year is always the year after the date stamp.
