1996 Wilderness Trail Bikes Phoenix SE

Signing in for updates. I'm sad I had to sell mine to release funds. Would love another some day

Well the problem with that is that it's the older, suspension corrected model. So there's no way to run a cam on the front suspension fork.

Not unless a Lever Link suddenly appears out of thin air, and for less than the cost of an actual house, too!

I mean, I'm almost grateful not to have to be thinking about finding an RC for upfront, what with the current prices they're going for.

Which isn't to say I don't have longterm fantasies of having Steve build me a custom SC Type II, with matching stem and bars...

And in that case, it'd have to be come with cam braze-ons, for sure!

More on that rear Toggle Cam at some point tho. I could talk about/stare at it for hours.
You know there is a production Potts fork at the exact a-c 425mm being sold at selected shops on line. Made to Steve specs and quality control. It´s a disc brake fork though... but imo cool as it can be. The first Rumpfy´s Phoenix was built w/ disc up front and RCam in the back.

The nitto produced one?

I didn't see that those were out yet. Do you have a link?

That's cool to know Rumpfy ran his with a disk up front to begin with!

I have no doubt it'll happen one day mate.

And hey, if you find one in a 17" size and need to trade down for the smaller model, you know where to find me! ;)

Thanks for the write up! You have good bike taste.

Same colour as my Phoenix came in.

Ah, I've seen yours before! So nice.

And a very cool way to run it.

It couldn't be more different from the way mine is presently.

Which is cool to see and think about.

So versatile, these little beasts!

Potts also offers the Type II. On the order form on his website I read $950.
