1996 Voodoo Canzo Ti

Proto2000

Retro Guru
Picked this beauty up this morning, 40 minute drive from me. 96 in the serial number so assume that's what the model year would be. Fox 5 was cracked but I had one to swap in, now just need to get it serviced because the rebound works too good and takes a bit of time to go back to full extend. RockShox Judy DH fork in front that seems fine but will tear it down and check it. Wheels are not original but look brand new, Shimano Deore, too new I suspect. Rear mech likely not original, need to dig into this thing and see what else I need to do to get it back to close to stock. WTB Grease Guard peddles as well that look lightly used. Price was very good so I think I have a winner.

Lovely, excited to see it out on the trail once you've got the last few bits and bobs sorted.

Nice get! I picked one up a couple years ago and only after I had stripped it down (mishmash of good stuff, but had been ridden hard for many years - kooka, xtr 95x, etc) and started to build it back up did I notice a crack in the rear triangle. It's wall art these days, but maybe I'll spring for my local builder to fab a new rear triangle for it sometime!

Again, love that thing. Insane deal.
Anyone have pics of one of these with the rare beryllium rear triangle option? Have not seen one yet.

I have a 97 Voodoo Canzo Ti with XT groupset that I'm thinking of selling as I haven't ridden it in over 10 years. Over the years before that I had modified it a bit, I updated shock and forks to Fox (still have original rockshox) and I had the rear triangle professionally modified to take a disc brake. But I do have a brand new original spare rear triangle. Wheels were updated but have the original Mavic 217 on XT
I'm wondering if you guys with all your experience could offer some opinions? As I see it have 3 options:
1. sell it as a complete but modified as is
2. Sell as a frame only and sell parts separately
3. Convert it completely back to original spec and sell with all original parts.
I'm asking not because I want to make the most money but actually to see what is most desirable for enthusiasts, do you want complete original, frame to do your own project with parts made available separately or is a nicely updated machine of interest (it's much much lighter with my mods compared to original)
Any thoughts welcome, I'm just wondering what to do when I need to clear our the shed later this year...
