Got this photo from Jeremy Sycip today. It's a photo of a page from his little notebook with serialnumbers!

The 4 CX frames were made in 1996 for the Specialized - Mountain Dew team. The were for Bart Brentjens and Marcel Gerritsen because they also wanted to ride some CX-races. Specialized didn't make a CX-frame in thise years!

So, looks like they each got 2. Great find, great thread. Congratulations on taking a chance on that frame and good job, digging deep to get the information.

Does 127 with serial SC12 say SHOW STAINLESS? I'd like to see that....unless it's a person's name...which I doubt.

p.s. this is causing me to hesitate putting my Sycip-built Goat on the market.

That frame, combined with the back story, plus the information Jeremy has supplied has to be pretty much unique (unless someone has one or more of the others).

I'll be following the build with great interest.

I bought it on the 5th, but was in contact with him before. You're sure it's the same seller?

Its the same frameset, pretty sure
Got a lot of pics from seller tuesday 5.th evening, with the same stem, headset, bars
Then it got..weird,..requested paypal address, ..never came
He might just have told me he sold the frame locally, (if thats indeed the case)
Enuff said, dont wanna spoil the thread...
Will be following the build...from afar, now
