1996 Marin Ultimate Titanium

Brakes and brake boosters.

The M950 brakes are mightily close to the front fork brace. No idea how you would get the front wheel on and off without taking the front brake off - anyone else found this ?

Guess that’s the problem of fitting v brakes to a fork designed for cantis.

Either saddle would be a good choice. Which speaks to you the most? Sod what the rest of us thinks 😅

Lovely build, but the brake boosters spoil it in my view. They're not exactly delicate looking!

Some advice please gents;

Picked this limited edition flite titanium up.

Not retro in terms of age but super rare.

This or the Gel ?
The red Flite screams "XC Race bike". The brown adds a touch of class. Think about the vibe you'd like your bike to give and there is your answer

I removed my M739 brakes from my manitou4 as they had the same issue. One arm even got wedged behind and ended up slightly stuck. I ended up putting M737 cantis on.

I like the limited one as it’s a bit special but it’s a bit late for the bike. The brown is in the sunset rims to “ti” it together.

The red one also is good. More period.

Yeah I know what you mean. This is going to be a bit more of a showy bike and I’ve had the brake boosters squirrelled away for a while.

They are expensive and hard to find.

I’ll see how it looks when it’s all together.
