1996 Marin Team Titanium - Resto-mod

Re: Re:

That set-up is exactly what I'm running minus the 3dv, and 3x rather than 1x, though not sure if I won't wish I'd have kept it simples....

This is so nice dude, congrats!

I'm just ordering some coloured jewels from Matias for mine too. As soon as I get the Heihei finished I'll see you up Epping for a retro-ti-party...

Thanks!

Stridsland’s really doing it for the retro MTB conversion scene.

Would be swell to ride in Epping with you! Will keep an eye on your Hei Hei build.

Re:

Fitted shorter stem and rotated bars backwards for less reach; feels more chilled out to ride.

Yeah, was going to have a custom Ti set made but ended up getting these Milhouse bars when the first batch landed in the UK. They match the steerer length of my set of RC31's perfectly.

Your Stooge looks rad!

Re:

Had to send the brakes off to Hope for a full refurb after they both developed multiple leaks, likely from the seals hardening after sitting unused and empty of fluid for 15 years.

Two-day turnaround, incredible service!

Re:

Just weighed this; the complete bike comes up at just under 9Kg / 20lb.

Not bad for a large frame with wide bars, big tyres, large cassette and disc brakes.
