@ misteroo - took me quite a while to soure all that parts via ebay & for sale sections in varios forums - just have to be patient. what year is your KILAUEA ?
Personal choice. Just don't think they are functionally as good as anything shimano have. Had them once and would never again, they take too much of the bar for me, but more importantly performance is not comparative to any shimano rapidfire/sti shifter.
You pays your money you make your choices. If you like them go for broke.
for me nothing's wrong with GripShift neither Shimano - I use also STI's on other bikes, work fine for me too, both systems have there pros & cons, but agree with you, that STI's look more elegant on the handle bar.
cheers
filled and sanded the area and after some testing with various Humbrol Enamel colours to match almost the Kulas Gold I managed to get this - not really perfect, but OK for me and the bike's a driver, so what.....
My Kilauea is a '94. Had Rock Shox but they are completely knackered. It has been ridden hard over the years is still straight, but looks a bit beaten up!!!
I'm a bit out of touch to be honest, marriage, kids etc. So any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, I still have all the parts apart from the Shox, tempted to go for some Fox Floats!!
