I do keep things well serviced, so i'm sure the forks will be fine for a good while yet, having paid £80 for them I'm quite pleased. While I understand the lure of fitting forks that suit the age of the bike, given that I currently ride it as my only mountain bike (the 24seven isn't quite finsihed!) it needs to have stuff that works well and is reliable on it.
Since the pictures were taken I have fitted hose guides on the top tube, and replaced the skewers with hope ones to match the hubs (the old rear one was bent).
As I mentioned in the other thread (the one with the crap picture), and wrong year, I am thinking of getting a disc mount fitted and haivng it re-powder coated, is it a good idea?
