1996 Klein Attitude Race for sale

What I meant is that, before the Trek acquisition, Klein produced the Pulse, a bike similar to the Pinnacle, but with 1,1/8 headset. Gradient tubing, etc. After Trek bought Klein, Klein kept making bikes in Chehalis in its factory until 1999 or Y2K. But the "proper" Adroit disappeared, The Attitude, with Klein oversize headtube became the Adroit (albeit built with Trek alu), the Pulse became the Attitude, and then, cheaper bikes, with Klein built rear drivetrain, were finished at Trek and named "Pulse". So, this bike, an Attitude, was built at Chehalis, and has the regular Klein high standard... it corresponds to the original Pulse, but with different alu and dropouts.

Thanks for the the heads up on my bike. Hearing/reading it from someone like you just reafirms my conclusion on the bike when I bought. Sans for the lack of horizontal drop no pressed in BB and no oversize headtube my bike is a Klein and is the bike that would have had those changes with it without the trek buy out. Times were changing with suspension forks and a more user friendly bike with the threaded bottom bracket. The whole premise on this original posting is the fact that my 98's serial number includes a "T" designating it as a Attitude but the 96 Attitude Race frame designates it has being the higher end Pulse frame with different logos. So your take on the reasoning for this makes sense.....whew! Thanks

Purist be damn with knocking 95/98 higher end Klein models as mine but, I whole heartily agree with them and feel their anguish by the time the 99 models came out and the early 2000 and as already mentioned, when the production moved to Wisconsin....By then almost all of are beloved made in America bikes were being outsourced in one way or another
