Lovely original 1996 GT Zaskar for sale in the absolutely classic polished aluminium finish. It's been owned by me since new, I purchased it from JE James at the Bike Show in Earls Court. The price is £300 and I'm not looking to split or swap. Collection only from Fairford, Gloucestershire.
She's a lovely bike and the frame is in great condition with no dings or dents. A few surface scratches as you'd expect of a mountain bike, but nothing deep.
To my recollection this was an 18" frame in GT sizing, although if that's the case they must come up quite large as I'm 6'4" and it fits me.
The forks are RockShox Judy XC. There's a bit of a scratch on one of the sliders and you can see the undercoat as shown in the photo, but otherwise they are in excellent condition.
This bike was my pride and joy, but I'm no longer able to ride bikes so it will never get any use from me and it's sad to see her sitting unused in the garage. It would be great to think of her having a new home with someone who can appreciate what an absolutely classic it is.
Rest of the specification:
Full Deore XT groupset with proper parrellogram V brakes and cam roller actuated brake levers (those are water spots on the crank arm, I've wiped them off now)
GT DX flat pedals
LX hubs with Mavic 238 rims
Club Roost riser bars (because we all had to have them.. even if we only rode XC with a 150mm stem...!)
Tioga stem and headset
Yellow Ti Flite with blue kevlar scuff protectors
Zero titanium blue anodised skewers (a bit scuffed on the edges of the handles)
