Thanks everyone. I ended up getting a set of Raceface Turbine Cranks in Black this morning. Now to decide on which pedals...I have some crank bros 5050's & I have some old XT's from around 91.

nice ,but it looks a bit generic , care to tell us a bit about dirt research
cool name btw

This is what I have been able to find about dirt research.

The Dirt research frames were made by Tom Teesdale
out of Columbus Chromoly tubing.

http://tetcycles.com/bikes/about/

He has made and prototyped frames Gary Fisher, Jamis, Kona, & Dean to name a few. I do not know a whole lot about the company history but the frames seem to be very well made. Dirt Research used to be Yokota bikes from what I have read.

I found some information in these links

Here is one built as a single speed.

Build updates

Here is the bike a bit more assembled. I'm waiting on a few more parts. The build should be complete by the end next week! Yesterday I got my Truvative Gigabite Bottom bracket and my Raceface crankset showed up. I ended up having to purchase a bottom bracket tool as the one that I had was not compatible with the Truvative.
