1996 American Eagle Atlanta - Bart Brentjens replica - p7!

Re: 1996 American Eagle Atlanta - Bart Brentjens Olympic replica

Very cool project! I have the steel team bike that the AE used the years before, without suspension. Quite a flexible ride I must say. Actually that bike has never been for sale.

The magura's are nice, but this is not the fluor yellow version that Bart used. This color was produced later to fit better on (most) bikes.

Good lukc with the build!

This might be helpful, an overview of Bart's bike and parts of 1996... should answer some of the question marks!

Thanks!!

not all questions are answered with this.... The cranks in this picture are not Ritchey's, but M900 and the seatpost is deffo not a Ritchey Pro WCS.

Found some Gripshift ESP 900. Also got these white Mud Sharks.

Anybody a good tip on cleaning them?

Brake cleaner and micro fiber cloth will get them fresh. Just go easy with the cleaner. Spray onto cloth first ;)

I'm not so keen on brake cleaner in this case because It contains solvents that deteriorate the rubber very quickly. I'd rather use a lemon-oil (used in car detailing) or something similar. Even putting it in the dishwasher would be safer.

Well, if Bart doesn't want it I would love to have it! Is it your shirt Stoppi?

Re:

Hi Hugo!

It isn't mine but I've seen it on the austrian market-plattform willhaben.at. I'm sure that the seller will ship it to you. Good luck, stoppi ;)
