A recent addition, it came up for sale locally and I just couldn't say "No" (again!!).
It's an Orange P7 in the nickel plated finish, serial number begins "A6060014.." which I think makes it a 1996 bike?
It came with a mixture of Shimano LX M567/569 (including a disgusting e-type front mech! :x), XT M739, and XT M750, along with the Shimano M575 wheels, and the original handlebar and stem, so a real mixed bag.

I was in no rush to do anything with it, but a broken mech hanger on my Gravel bike meant I had an urgent requirement for something suitable to ride!
So a parts bin rebuild of the P7 the day before the Macretro ride saw it kitted out with a 1x8 drivetrain of Deore and M950 XTR bits, shifting courtesy of an STX-RC mech! Some X-lite riser bars and a shorter Ritchey stem, and some Avid Speed dial/Single Digit Ti V-brakes (I guess I could have ridden it as it was... But Where's the fun in that?).
So it's now even more of a mixed bag  but it handled the 40-odd mile ride just fine :)

I think this'll be a bit of a retro-mod bike.

I'm looking at replacing the decals as they're scruffy, torn between the original all red ones. Or going for black decals with Orange "Oranges"...

Re:

Decals from Gil_m @ retro Decals arrived so I had a quick go at replacing some of them this evening.
A heat gun meant the old decals came off easily, a quick rub down with some tin foil, then autosol, a quick degrease and the new decals went on.
A huge improvement! There's a photo of the fork decals below.
Not 100% perfection, I didn't want to strip the bike down and start rubbing the whole frame down, this bike is for riding :)

Re:

In the name of progress i decided to add a touch of modern in the form of SLX cranks. There was nothing wrong with the Deore (Hollowtech) cranks and square taper bottom bracket, but I was curious to see how much lighter the HT2 SLX cranks with their outboard bearing BB would be...
A whopping 73 grams was the answer   that's progress for you...
