Dirt Disciple
I am located in Salt Lake City, UT. I would prefer a cash sale, but I will accept paypal and ship within the US.
The bike you are looking at is pristine and nearly original 1995 Yeti Pro Fro (For Racing Only) hardtail mountain bike. This is a very high end, rare, and sought after bike! It retailed somewhere between $3000 and $4000. Hand built in Durango Colorado.
The large frame measures 19.5 inches (c-c) and will fit someone roughly 5 ft 10 to 6 foot 2.
You would be hard pressed to find a better hard tail than this, especially for this price! The XTR v brakes perform better than many disc brake systems, and the shifting is amazingly smooth and precise. The frame is very stiff, and almost telepathic! It seems to know exactly where you want to go. Amazing ride quality, and lightweight!
The frame is in practically perfect condition. The decals are perfect, absolutely no dents, cracks, bends, etc. The only paint defects I can find are a VERY small amount of cable rub on the head tube, and a nickle size imperfection on the top tube. The components are in great shape as well. Tires and pads look like they've hardly been ridden, and are not dry. I believe everything is original except the wheels, brakes/levers, rear derailleur (all of which i have and can include), shifters and pedals.
It is in near perfect mechanical condition as well. It has been tuned up, and has new cables/housing. Ready to ride, needs nothing!
The wheels are Spinergy Xyclones. They use Spinergy's fiber spoke technology (http://www.spinergy.com/catalog/tech_sp ... ure_v2.php) allow the wheels to flex inward, causing a suspension effect for a very smooth ride, while remaining extremely strong. These are $700 wheels! Super lightweight and cool looking!
Componentry includes:
-Rock Shox Judy XC fork 80mm, upgraded with White Brothers spring cartridges (to eliminate elastomers)
-Shimano XTR M900 crank, v brakes, cassette, and front derailleur
-SRAM ESP 9.0 gripshifts and rear derailleur
-Spinergy Xyclone wheelset ($700 wheels)
-Avid SD 2.0 L brake levers
-control tech seat post and stem
-awesome period correct Serfas seat
-Yeti/Easton handlebars
-Specialized Armadillo tires, Team control 2.0 front, Crossroads EX 1.95 rear
I have most of the original parts as well: XTR/Mavic wheels, XTR cantilever brakes with original pads, and XTR rear derailleur, all in good shape.
I have 3 options on price:
$900 as the bike sits, with upgraded parts
$1050 with everything on the bike, and the extra parts
$800 with only the XTR/Mavic wheels instead of Spinergy wheels

I will also consider trades for other bikes and parts (old, new, road, mtn, hybrid)
