I Just 'finished' building this 1995 Trek 970, made of True Temper OX III steel. Yes, the red saddle is temporary. I'll follow up with more pics soon!

Finished a 950 last month and took some pictures for this site but Photobucket are holding them to ransom at the mo.

Back to the point - a nice build on a great riding bike, closeups of the welds please M952.

those steel Treks from that years are very underrated :(

I can't think of a more underrated frame, really.

I went on my first ride yesterday, and it was SO smooth. The components from this bike came off my 1994 Litespeed Obed, which is now officially for sale.

My favorite aspect may be the geometry, which I don't think was corrected for a suspension fork. This geometry seems to give the bike some added control and dexterity. Obviously that can slow you down on the rough stuff, but for casual off road riding, I think it superior. Rigid and steep, that is.
