1995 (I think) Scott Vantage
I bought it to break a while ago, as I fancied the groupset, but then that never happened and I've already got more bike parts than I need.
Size is 20" (or 51cm centre of BB to top of seat tube clamp)
Top tube 22" (or 56cm) centre to centre
Some nice welding / details to the Aluminium frame, it's pretty light too
Good bits
- Full matching LX groupset (brakes, mechs, chainset etc).
- Rear wheel Mavic 271 SUP with LX hub, minimal brake wear to rims
- Thomson Seat post
- Uno stem and bars
Bad bits
- Someone tried forcing a bigger seat post in previously, so there is a slight split as photographed. Now has correct size post inserted.
- Front wheel is a Mavic 238 with an STX RC hub, cones are loose - I gave them some grease but couldn't nip them up without some binding. So assume the cups/bearings might need sorting, or a different front wheel.
- Headset a bit rough, again it had a very quick grease and nipped up by me ages ago, but it either needs doing properly, or the headset is past its best
- Lacquer peel / tarnishing is pretty bad, worst on the top tube, hard to photograph, but it's pretty nasty to say the least.
Generally it just needs some fettling and a very deep clean to make it better.
£85 ono £65 firm.
Collection from Bolton, BL2.
Any queries, hit me up,
Joe
