1995 Raleigh Torus with a little bit of anodising.

What kind of epoxy are you going to use? I personally prefer Hysol 9430 (seems to be the industry standard for bonding dissimilar materials). What bond-line tolerances are you going to use? Any micro glass-beads in the mix? Honestly if you follow the proper procedures and surface prep the bond should be pretty strong (I would guess that adhesives have come a long way since 20-years+ ago). I'll be watching the progress with interest.

Re:

I can't remember what it was, but it was an hour round trip to the nearest place with stock!
Bond line was 0.15mm from memory but I could be wrong. Everything was cleaned with the same procedure as I use for aluminium anodising so I know it was good.
Curing was at 40c for four hours (fan heater and a baking tray to reflect heat) then 20 hours at room temperature all while held together with clamps I made.

The Hysol stuff has a curing time of 5 days! at room temperature (a lot shorter in a low temp oven). "Everything was cleaned with the same procedure as I use for aluminium anodising so I know it was good. " basically a surface etching then? most professional adhesives require an etching kit to prep the surf.
I didn't know that the crown was made out of Titanium (pretty nice polishing job).

It was around 5 days before anything was done to it. But I had to post them 24 hours after gluing.

I hardly ever etch anything for anodising, these were blasted then abraded.

The crown is aluminium, it's a Pace, seemed not really worth making one the same as are already out there.

The titanium part mentioned above was the steerer.

Probably too much!
The price of titanium spokes is too much anyway.

Regular price? yes! Discounted? not so bad...
Coloradocyclist in the states have Union bladed titanium spokes for 99 cents a piece! dunno how bad shipping and VAT would hit you though.

I just built a set of Nuke Proof hubs on HED rims with their gold DT Titanium spokes. Necessary? Not really... but cool.
