You should be, that is an awesome ride! I love those forks.

I just scored a Dean. I am trying to gather all of the parts, but it is going to take a while. The forks will be a big hurdle. I have some in mind though, but will need some TLC.

i finally got the chance to go for a ride on this today.
but only for my commute to work,
and i have to say, i love this bike, it feels so light & fast,
and the xtr m900 gears & brakes performed perfectly.
usually i have to tinker a little to get things running just right,
but this didnt miss a gear change, brakes very sharply.
i really have to stop buying bikes now, at least til next year.
the only things i am looking to change in the near future is the bar & stem & front hub.
i really want a nice titanium bar & stem & silver hope ti glide front hub.
and i am absolutely made up with the fork choice.
i took a few pics outside, enjoy.

yes, something Ti.
i did have a very nice race face Ti stem, but it was not compatible with the fork steerer.

a little update on the merlin.
i have just got an xtr bottom bracket.
i have also just bought a set of cook bros cranks.
i have always liked these cranks.
will post pics when i install them on the merlin.
