I like the silver/grey look as well, very classy, but I do think the 95 pearl white is often regarded as the archetypal Kilauea and is worth a few pounds more in the jungle that is eBay.

And I do hear tell that, if you're going to spend the money as he has on an Argos rebuild/repaint, and you get them to paint your frame pearlescent white, then when you get it back and unwrap it you're liable to find that it's so gorgeous you'll want to lick it.

I'm hoping to attend the Brighton Big Dog tomorrow on a pearl white 95 Kilauea. Only trouble is, it's a bare frame at the moment.

£1000 for a kilauea with a fairly conventional build

Worthwhile or not, it still makes the one that bkt sold recently look like an even bigger bargain

Ah but it's really "only" 750 quids innit? Can't see the point myself - if you're going to have discs and bounce can buy a much better alu framed bike totally designed for the purpose.

This is more like what a 1995 Kilauea looks like

if there shouldn't be any bounce what rigid fork would you put with a 95 Kilauea?

Now the obvious is a P2 TB which I think they came with originally. But these are like gold dust. What would be a good replacement?
