1995 KHS Montana Comp w/ Halson

It was bike of the year in '95. Light and fast. I converted it to a Single Speed and LOVE IT!! At races someone always asks about the Halson. I just put some new"elastomers" in for more support. This is by far the best shock I've ever had. Some folks even say I need a new bike...Oh well...this works for now

Also have Proflex 856XT for the rough days.

Back in the day the Halson was the new kid on the block and arguably started the inverted fork phenom. That is until Rock shock started fighting for some copyright stuff and put Halson out of business. Something like that. Any way it has lasted 12 years with NO-None- issues, until I needed to replace the Elastomers- I used a "DIY" method from parts I bought at the hardware store. I love this bike. It's probably not worth $100 us, but the whole single speed, with the old fork makes me love riding it around.
