1995 Ibis Mojo

A Surly 1x1 fork would have the right height but i hear it´s jackhammer stiff. There are carbon/ aluminum forks being sold on the bay w/ 425mm a-c.
Thanks for all the infos! I still have a Carbon fork in the shed somewhere, that might be a start...

Damn I sold my XC700 6 months ago....

Great looking frame there Kay! Good that you found your mojo... I love an Ibis, they have lots of style. I would go with a nice rigid fork. That first one in red with the black fork just looks right. Paint is difficult because these were so nicely made, I would be tempted to bring it back to that state.

What about this? This should be a 1995 Mojo. Can you tell wich fork he used?

i have an Ibis Mojo since new, year 2000. I have built it w/ susp forks and short rigid forks. That´s where i am coming from.
BUild it however you want. I am giving advice based on my experience w/ this frame. I rode it a lot and i know how it rides. Mine is a 00 and designed for 425mm a-c height
Btw i know the owner of the green bike. It had a Judy xc before. The fork on it now is a Kona P2 w 415mm a-c and he does not ride it these days.

Thanks a lot mate. I have been looking for forks the whole day. This isn't an easy task. Especially here in Germany....
Kona P2 is on the list, also a Salsa and some others. Seems they are either to long, to short, to heavy or to expensive....

I stopped riding mine when the marz z2 needed refurbish. I never liked susp forks much and felt unmotivated to search the Z2 parts. I could not find a rigid fork that does justice to the Mojo so i placed my wicked as the main bike.

After I wasn't able to find something online that fits me and the frame I came up with the glorious idea to rummage once again in my shed.

I have found a fork, installation height 405mm. I put the whole thing together and I think it feels first quite good as it is. Unfortunately, I need this fork for another project but I have another one which is even slightly higher.

It's in another bike at the moment but if I don't find anything it will be transplanted.

I have also found 3 bike stores where I might be lucky.

So I am slightly optimistic to find something in the near future.
