I always wondered why they didn't bother to make a 20" version of these frames in the earlier years? Did they have an extra long top tube? which combined with the massive 31.8 seat-post (extra long) could fit tall guys? Or did Steve Potts just hate tall people?

You're right about that! The bike above looks almost like a trials frame with a gigantic seat-mast... Still want one.
