1994 Stumpjumper FSR Revival - FINISHED 2015-03-25

Re: 1994 Stumpjumper FSR Revival

Wow, that 95 sure has a better weld. Thanks for posting the pics!!

Does anyone know of a way to upgrade or refresh the pivot points? Mine are ok, but somehow getting bearings in there would be amazing.

The hubs arrived today! Tonight I'll test fit a 10 speed cassette. Fingers crossed.

Nice looking hubs, where did you order them from?

Re: 1994 Stumpjumper FSR Revival

They're sold on ebay but I contact the dealer (in Taiwan) directly for a better price. This is the second set of hubs I've purchased from them. The other set is on my road bike and they have been great. They're good with basic English, but be really specific about what you want.

Re: 1994 Stumpjumper FSR Revival

I asked my Mom if she had any photos of me with the FSR and she scanned and sent six! We think these are all from 1995.

I was stoked to find these special edition Oury grips.

Re: 1994 Stumpjumper FSR Revival

A little update. The build is slowly coming together. I'm planning on having it finished by April so I can race it at the Sea Otter Classic. I pulled the Cook Bros crankset from the same bike that had the Judy SL fork and will be putting on 28/40 chainrings for the 2x10 system, and have confirmed that there is more than enough clearance for them. The crank bolt caps needed refinishing (already yellow) and I luckily found some spray paint that is an incredibly close match to Judy yellow. The stem is just a placeholder for now. I'm on the lookout for a silver 90mm 0-5 degree stem. The next step will be to build the wheels now that I have all the parts.
