Thanks yes she's gonna look great when I have finished..
I believe this is a normal shock that they make. I sent in the old one and they made sure it was suitable when compared and sent me this one

Where did you find the Fox Float with the right length? My Alps when mounted measures 133mm eye-to-eye.

I had the rear shock changed to a Fox float by http://www.mojo.co.uk/

Looks like a 140mm shock is being used here. I have 4x 94/95 FSR frames. My '94 is my only 'small' and it has a 133mm Risse shock which was specced by its original owner. The other two I have with shocks still have the original Fox Alps 4Rs, and are medium or large '95 S-Works models. Both those shocks are 140mm.

Maybe the shock was shorter on the small size and/or for '94? I wasn't aware of this being the case, as I thought the rear end was the same for all sizes from small to large, with XL having a taller back end. I thought my Risse shock had been specced too short, but reading this perhaps not.

Anyone else - especially those with original shocks - shed any light?
