I've got this bike last Friday. I was looking for a donorbike, but this bike is completely original. And the story behind this bike made me decide to let it original.

It would be lovely to ride it..

Cheers,
Will

Thanks for posting this!

I just bought this exact same (even color) bike from a local second hand shop. I have it in for a tuneup but I'll put some 26X1.4 slicks on it and have it as my backup for commuting to my Trek hybrid. Steel is real. Maybe I could post some photos after I'm done converting it (although I don't want to hijack your thread.) Again, thanks for posting I couldn't decide on the age until now.

Followup

Here's my 1994 Rockhopper Comp that I use for commuting to and from work (80-100miles per week).Special note, I pulled the bottom bracket out and found that its a 73X110. I bought a Shimano UN55 73mmX 110mm as a replacement. The bb case/tube in the frame had slight surface rust but nothing that a little brillo didn't remove.

I had one of these for 10 years until it was stolen. Just bought a mint condition one used. I want to replace the headset to change the angle to more upright position for city riding. But, i can not figure out the stem size. It has rock shox and is threadless. Ideas?
