1994 Scott Team Racing - opinions please

According to Bikepedia they made a Team Racing model in 1993, with Tange Superlight frame and Unishock LF fork, no bike called Team Racing in 1994, but they made a Team Racing CST in 1995, with 'Scott LF' butted chromoly tubeset, Judy XCs and 'titanium satin' paint.

Quite a nice-looking bike (aside from those bars!)

We have all Scott catalogues from 93 to 2000 & more ;)

I think that's a really nice bike.

XT would be a good choise for it, but I think i'd change the forks for something more useable, probably rigid ones.

Looks very good though.

Don't see too many of those forks. Maybe becasue they were crap. Look fine though and a great match to the frame.

Build wise full XT would be the ticket, perhaps lose the cranks you have.

Otherwise looks a real clean build.

Skolioza is right, BikePedia has got some years missing there. I have the -94 team racing, rough but original with a Mag 21. I use mine as a winter commuter and I really love it. I think I´m going to take it apart in spring and make the best of it, maybe respray it (it´s in a terrible shape) but I´m not sure, I kind of like the original feeling. I´m happy to see someone else care for an old Scott! This thread has pictures of my bike. http://www.retrobike.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=79950&start=0

all those forks were recalled as carbon became unlgued from the rest of the forks .

Yes they were, which makes the few that are left in circulation very rare

But they truely are a terrible fork, light yes, flexible yes, actually do any shock absorbing? Not on your nelly!

^ i'm not sure your point?
The Carbon ones "LF" were subject to a %100 recall
as stated in your link

oohhh i have a set of carbon LF unishocks, and also a S set and a pair of the original white ones

"The forks have the "SCOTT" logo on the side of each fork leg. A sticker on the front of each leg reads, "UNISHOCK" with the designation "S", "LF", "VR", "TX" or "R."

Only forks with the designations listed above are involved in this recall. Forks with white legs bearing the name "UNISHOCKS" are not part of this recall."

I was not talking on any specific shock or the bike build here . Just for your info, that not all of the forks were recalled
