Walnut blasting? Wow...must use up a lot of nuts! Maybe the place you had the frame done have trained squirrels who do the work ;)

.

why are people surprised by this? sand blasting is just the more common name, several different mediums are used, walnut shells being 1 of the softer.
nice project, I like the no decal look ;)

but wait..weight?

As she sits she's 23.43 lbs. I was shocked at how heavy she was but then I remembered that I can lose weight by shedding the:

- Oury lock-on grips (heavy...)
- Taiwanese made 60 tpi 2.1" Panaracer FireXC Pro tires (615 g each)
- generic presta 2.0 tubes

Soo...I figure that I can carve another 1.2 lbs fairly easily using 1.9 kevlar tires, Stans No-Tubes and lighter grips.

That would leave her at 22.23 lbs. Not bad for a steel frame.

Looking good - see you out in the Endowment Lands?

I only ride the lands once a year, (at night usually). Burnaby Mountain is my usual haunt. I like riding hills, so the Endowment lands don't give me enough cardio. On the other hand, you wouldn't have to twist my arm to convince me to ride along Kits Beach on a hot Summer weekend.

a few more
