I don't know. The casette is pretty narrow range, not sure if I'd get enough from a 1x

I thought you bought that already. Doesn't matter if it is "road", it probably came off a trekker type considering the range. Just need a longer spindle BB.

And yeah with your narrow range cassette there 1x would be of no use for where you live.
