1994 Manitou DH, Beneke Replica

Should be, cost close to ⅕ the price of the frameset. But if I didn't get it who knows when another would turn up. Slightly worried about the bottom allen bolt, bit round but will probably be fine.

Joking apart its probably one of the rarest pieces of kit you'll ever bolt on to any build.

Yep they don't seem to pop up often. Slightly strange Answer didn't include it when you bought the DH frameset package.

Oh, updated the spec (page 4) as I measured the stem angle and it looks like 25° not 17°. Not sure why I hadn't done that before.

The chain device arrived along with customs to pay plus the Royal Mail rip off fee. Hadn't really occurred to me before but the top part isn't a proper roller, it's a fixed half roller. Obvious really if you look at the space but still hadn't realised.

See the sale section.

Personally I would leave the frame pretty much as-is including the tatty decals. Normally I like to go for a pristine look but for this it suits it. Of course it's just a bike so if you want to remove all the anodising polish the frame and add new decals then that's your choice but it is only original once. If you look at any of the Beneke videos the first think he does when he finishes a run is to throw his bike down so his bikes weren't pristine for very long!
