Probably a 70 quid spend on top of the eBay purchase, so around 160 all in which I think is okay, nice to save another Kona for the future, if it survives uni duties I might treat it to a respray and a proper period build, hoping it will build into a nice city for the time being

All built up, turned out nice to be fair, need to get it mucky, so a shake down ride over the weekend and some final adjustment, not exactly to original specs, aside from the saddle it’s all roughly in period

Glad I managed to find a headset with a low enough stack to fit the project 2’s

I’ve enjoyed the build, so will hunt for something exotic for my next project

I'd call that a success. Bet that STX crankset must feel like an anchor compared to the XTR that came off?

Had my eye on this also, went cheap if I recall? I however couldnt justify another Kona so soon after the last one!

Yeah 89 quid, spur of the moment purchase on a Sunday night, mainly because it was fairly local

Sadly the bike is no longer with me but residing with my son at Uni, I hope it survives ! Good for canal paths I reckon.
