A recent impulse ebay purchase that had been left outside in the sellers garden for quite some time. The frame was in a pretty sorry state but plenty of time, polish and elbow grease and it came up a treat.
It was a full bike but the only bits worth keeping were the farme, forks, stem, headset and Dx thumbies, the rest was either binned or put on ebay.

Anyway spec and pics to follow, I really should have taken some decent pics before I got it all muddy at todays Binbrook ride

Wow I like that...

Seems like you gave the frame plently of TLC...

doesn't seem any surface rust either.

brilliant :)

my favourite colour and year, and model, thats why I have one myself (also because I owned one as a kid)

Looked great in the flesh on Sunday.

Go on Chris, show 'em your neat trick on the rear brake cable!

Thanks for the kind comments.

Al I will take a pic of the rear brake cable mod as soon as I can get to it in the daylight ;)

That does look nice.
With the old school thumbies that bar looks very clean and unclutered.
This site is going to cost me a fortune.

I love mine too...
Need to get some thumbies on there, am running 8 speed Gripshift presently which work well but don't have the look. Original cranks polished up look great I think.

Looks good Chris, rides nice too.
Any other plans or is this finito?

That looks ace, ive just got myself a '94 Lava Dome same colour aswell, mines just frame and forks for now but ill get some pics up once i start to collect parts for it!

What have you done to allow the use of rear V's with the canti stop, we just used to use a piece of outer cable between the removeable stop on the seat tube to the V brake noodle, back when we were skint young kids and couldnt afford the proper bolt on V brake stops lol
