What I really like, having read this thread front to back with a cup of tea in hand, on a rainy California morning, is all the little tweaks and changes you've made to this build over time.
It really shows how much you love the bike, how often it gets ridden, and how fickle and fluid we can all be in our tastes and preferences. (I mean that in a good way!)
Tweaking things over time is kind of the point, right?
BITD we would have all been popping into our local bike shops regularly, picking up those things we could afford that caught our eye; making changes due to temptation, preference, finance and performance out in the field... or woods... or up the mountain! All so we could feel happy when looking down at our funny little bikes bumping over mud and root and rock.
