The only thing I'd consider changing is the colour of the mag 21's...black lowers would look awesome on this bike!

Thanks Blizz, that was actually the plan, via Cpt Cosmic, if I remember right? He sent sent some proofs for vertical RM logos for his US Team Altitude I sold him a few years ago. Still looking for a longer steerer for this one. Will either strip the corrosion off of the old Mag lowers or just use these ones. Any one have any experience re-painting mag lowers?

yes Pete, quite disappointed with you. can't believe you went with run of the mill Syncros stem and Flite saddle over the Ti RF stem and Vetta RF shoulder holder saddle.

Sorry to disappoint you, Frank.

Re:

sorry Pete, that was meant as a friendly "jab". may have came across a little "strong". going through some rough times at the moment and i'm not all here. my preference would have been to keep the stem/saddle as they are a little more unique and uncommon, compared to syncros stem a & flite, and deserving so with such a frame which is equally so.

No worries Frank. It's just a bike and I didn't take your comment all too strong. Everyone is entitled to an opinion and I've always respected yours. Hope all is well... or at least, that all will get well in time.

I agree that the Flite and Syncros bits are more 'common' and maybe less deserving of such a rare and pristine frame. But all of my bikes have Flites (er... 2 have Turbos, but I digress) and I always found the RF shoulder holder to be a bit silly, frankly. The Vetta saddle should sell pretty high on ebay, so I can recoup some of the cost of the bike (which hasn't been trivial). And the RF stem was simply too short for me at 120mm. I really needed 130mm or longer on this one. Plus, the ti RF stem will fit and look good on the Dekerf Team ST...otherwise, it would've been a tougher choice.

the original stem cap, looks to be a plastic affair. just curious, is it anything special, like RF branded?

Yep, plastic top cap with the RF logo.

cool, that's neat. never seen one before. only seen the later metal ones with different phrases on them.
