Re:

Nice, very mean and purposeful looking. Pics are nice too

Rock steady brother, cold as ice. I had one for a short while back in the day, while trying to replace a broken frame. Ended up loving the ride of the Blizzard more than the bike I was trying to replace. That is a hard core build, nice work!

Thanks guys. Lots of fun putting this together. I'll only make three changes for the trail. I'll toss on my riding pedals of course. I have a NOS set of Wobler/DX wheels I'll use (the XT/Arayas are my show rims), and I'll put some fresh koolstops on it ... So I can actually stop ... Always a good thing :)

I'm already sizing up my 1988-89 Blizzard build.

Were these Blizzard frames actually "Made in Canada" or were they imported and then the bikes were "Made [Assembled] in Canada"?

the earliest ones ('80's) were hand-fabricated in Vancouver.

The first Blizzards without the sloping tube were toyo imports, than you are right, they produced a "team" and "slope" frame from 1987-89 that was built in Vancouver. I'm not sure about the actual standard 88-89 blizzard ... It may have been imported to.

The hand built in Canada decal is on a few models ... Always had me wondering because there were different regs about having that statement on a product in the 90s in Canada.

That is freaking lovely
