Ah its the Rockin Rooster (and not the Rock Rooster), use it in conjunction with the brake booster and as the name suggests the rocker for the brakes (this was the Suntour Power hanger), it bolt the two together, like some Tektro ones, just cooler looking.

hmmm, saw the links you provided in my thread in the general section about this. so the one i have is meant to be used in conjunction with a brake booster. :? guess i'll forgo using this for now since then i'm missing two crucial parts.

Here you go =)

Knew I had these tucked away somewhere... I "might" be posting a couple of them up for sale soon... ;)

managed to secure a few more catalogue correct parts for this. first a proper Syncros flat bar with a gold anodized "swiss style" shim as detailed in the 93 Syncros catalogue. and an older black wide clamp cattlehead stem with needed rise to replace the more modern grey stem i already had on. lastly a set of used ODI Attack grips.

so only things not following catalogue would be the saddle, tyres and the brake straddles. i do have a set of Ritchey WCS tyres i could throw on, but i'll leave the smoke/dart combo on for now. i also kind of like the gold RF bar i already have on there. :?

thx goes out to Hotwheels. for offering the bar to me in a Syncros swap. sure he'll be happy with what i've sent in exchange. also thx to raidan73 for helping with redirecting the stem to me. ;)

Re:

Glad the stem arrived safely Frank. Was it what you were hoping for?

Looking forward to seeing this one done :)

it's a little bit rougher than i would have liked, but not too bad. given the rest of the bike has some patina, it's more than acceptable. i have two sizes of replacement stem decals but this set is even smaller. so i'll have to get yet another size done.

Re:

If you don't mind stripping the stem and gloss painting it then do that if you want it correct correct, I wouldn't bother though.

Once I've moved house,if all goes to plan, I'll get on with my two as I'll have room then.

fresh set of decals applied… and looking good on the bike. so moving forward with the Syncros bar in place of the gold RF. ;)
