Sorted 1993 Raleigh Summit, Peak, Ridge or Apex - 21" Frame & Forks or Complete Bike

Retro Newbie
I'm a big tall lump (6' 4" with a 35" inseam) so need something large and bombproof. The 1993 models have the seat stays brazed onto the back of the seat tube - this is the model I believe to be a bit tougher than the previous variants.
Bike will be used for twin tracks, around reservoirs and Sustrans routes.
Cheers.
Tim

What, you would have me parted from my super comfortable Apex? Quite rare as a 1993... Having said that, I don't really need all of these... Where are you? The British Eagle is v. nice (22") but that stem will be too short - I am 5'10". The Peak has new decals now and I don't think I can part with it with all that mint gear on it..

Crusader - you tease!

I am based in Northamptonshire (right on the Leicestershire border). The write up on the K2 tubing pointed me in the direction of the early 1990's Raleighs.

My first 'proper' bike was a Coventry Eagle tourer back in 1987. Your British Eagle looks lovely but I have a bit of a thing about 'stuck on' seat stays.

You can keep all of the mint gear on the Apex - I would be really happy with just the frame and forks.

All three look superb.

The mint gear is on the Peak not the Apex. So are you really just after the frame? The Apex frame has quite a few storage knocks to the paint but it is sound - I rebuilt it for my daily runabout. I am in Ashbourne Derbyshire btw.

I like both Cov and British Eagle. I have a collection of B.E's and sold this C.E tourer a year or two ago

Happy to take just the frame and forks or as a complete bike - whatever you would be happy with.

Am I right in thinking this is the 21" frame? And the paint knocks are not dents?

It's a long time since I have completed the Tissington Trail & High Peak Trail but I used to frequent in the late 1980's and early 1990's on my Claud Butler Spectre and Kona Explosif.

Were Coventry Eagle and British Eagle the same company?

My wife only commented this week that we need to pay another visit to Daltons in Ashbourne. Maybe that is a sign?
