Thought I’d share this 753 that I finished restoring a couple of weeks ago. I bought it early last year. It had been well used throughout its life with the rear elastomer melting in the previous owners car and the fork seized up.
I decided to go down the full respray route so had the frame sand blasted and then I sprayed it all up and finished it with a 2K clear. The decals were replicated by Gil / RetroDecals.
I did try to refurbish the original fork but unfortunately the circlips were so seized I ended up cracking the lowers so I replaced them with a nicer set of Quadra 21Rs. I’m just waiting for new elastomers for them.
Rear elastomer was sourced from the US. New Turbo saddle, repainting the crankset and stem, replacement wheelset and cantis to take it back to original spec and a shifter strip down and it was about ready to assemble.
Pretty happy with how it’s turned out.
