1993? Mongoose IBOC Pro

Roy, just a couple of pictures of the bare frame at the moment. I've got a pile of components, so I should do a build thread really! I'm planning on a fairly understated build, all old school but not necessarily close to the exact year.

Nice buy. I'm thinking 1991 or thereabouts too, almost certain pre 1993.

I have an IBOC pro SX carbon, bought new as a frameset believe it is a 1993. I got it from a racing team and it was sold to me as a "spare" frame. The extra SX moniker is for "Shox" and indicates suspension corrected geometry.

You took your time but did a very good job on it. It's been ages since I saw one in steel. Thanks for sharing, it's bikes like this that bring a smile to my face every time.

One comment, you mount the font IRC Mythos tire with the tread reversed, is it on purpose? I've used front specific Mythos's as a rear tire with the tread reversed, but not like this.

tires are mounted they way they are so i have the tire logos both showing on the same side of the bike.
guess no quality control at the factory.

Nice Mongoose Iboc Pro and i had the same one and bought the bike new in 1991,but after two weeks the bike was stolen :cry:

I got at home the Mongoose bike catolgus 1991.
May be you wanted a scan from it,how the bike is in orginal?
