Welcome to my listing for my KHS Montana Pro
This bike has recently had a complete strip down, clean, grease and rebuild and it is ready to ride away.
In 1993, the Montana Pro was KHS's second highest offering, just behind the Team model. However, both the Team and the Pro shared the same frame and fork, using Tru Temper OXII tubing and a lightweight spinner fork. It's an outstanding frameset that puts this retro ride at a tidy 11KG as you see it. While the Team and Pro shared the same frameset, the Pro came with the Shimano Deore XT group. Even after 30 years of use this XT group is still shifting strong and precise.
After 30 years thought the frame has had a few scuffs and scrapes but generally, the deep purple / blue flake paintwork has polished up extremely well. To be completely honest - there was some flaking of paint around the bottom bracket / chain stay join which I clean up back to bare metal, inspected, treated with rust prevention and repainted with some touch up paint but despite that - it's an extremely solid bike.
If I didn't already have the Team model - I'd be keeping this in my collection - but space has quickly run out so it's now up for grabs!
